About the Author

Del Dvoracek is a lifetime resident of the Dakotas and finds real comfort on the plains where he can see fifty miles in every direction.The Guys from Fargo is his fifth novel, followed by The Baltic Sea Incident, The Prague Double, The Mirror Man and Letters from Lydia. The first four novels and his published plays are under his Christian name. Under his pen name, Kent Kamron, are Letters, above, and his three Western short-story collections—Charlie’s Gold and Other Frontier Tales, A Time for Justice and Other Frontier Tales, and The Dime Novel Man and Other Frontier Tales. Beautiful Pam Allison, also known as the Princess, is “one of the guys” who meets regularly at the Powers Hotel for morning and afternoon coffee. When it appears that someone is blackmailing her on a past event she is not proud of, the guys from Fargo take it upon themselves to root out the blackmailer and save their young damsel from scandal and from the wrath of her jealous husband. Advertising exec, Carrigan Mulhouse, who is especially fond of Pam, is the leader of the pack.He seeks the help of T.B. Harvey who owns a detective agency. But what Harvey knows about detective work can be placed in a thimble. T.B. enlists the help of Leroy R., a Marxist and former D-student at the college, and between these two, a whirlwind of chaos wields its way through this maze as they come up against hard case characters, including Police Officer Hardnuts Brodigan, among other unlikely(s) in an attempt to solve the identify of the blackmailer. However, to pay off the blackmail money demands, the guys from Fargo must restort to scams incorporating the three deadly sins: lying, stealing and cheating. They will do anything to save the reputation of their “Princess.”
