Over a series of three nights in December 1980 an extraordinary series of UFO incidents took place in Rendlesham Forest in the UK, next to two United States Air Force bases. This was not some vague sighting of lights in the sky, but a controlled landing and take-off. NICK POPE used to run the British government’s UFO project at the Ministry of Defence. After a successful twenty-one-year career, which culminated in him serving as an acting Deputy Director in the Directorate of Defence Security, he left the MoD in 2006 to work as an author, journalist and broadcaster.
