About the Author:
Brendan McCann is the youngest of ten children, brought up in Belfast during the fifties and sixties. He made the inevitable decision to depart for pastures new, which was indicative of his nine older siblings. He joined the Irish Guards in April 1971 for three years however, continued to serve for a total of twenty four years. His story is a tongue in cheek tale of shenanigans from his earliest memory in Belfast, to his arrival in Hong Kong as a serving Irish Guardsman. It is told with a sense of honesty, truth, compassion and above all, the ultimate sense of humour he carries with him at all times.
