SEEDS FOR CLINTON IMPEACHMENT SOWN IN MAY 1981!
The seeds for the impeachment of President Clinton were sown nearly 18 years ago. In May 1981, 160 new-right political leaders secretly met to celebrate their political good fortune and the election of President Ronald Reagan the previous November. They vowed that right-thinking Christians should take "dominion" over the United States.

In what came to be a prophetic comment, Tim La Haye, then head of the Moral Majority in California, told the group that liberals don't believe in moral absolutes. "Conservatives do," he said. "For example, we believe that adultery is adultery. Liberals believe adultery is just an affair."

This elite group of administration officials, congressmen, industrialists, and conservative Christians--calling themselves the Council for National Policy (CNP)--launched a political federation to implement their own political agenda for the nation.

While the roster of the 500 CNP members is confidential, it is known to include James Watt, Phyllis Schlafly, Joseph Coors, Jerry Falwell, Oliver North, Edwin Meese, Representative Bob Dornan, and Senators Orrin Hatch, Trent Lott, and Jesse Helms.

Today, the CNP is reported to be the key nerve center for many leading Christian conservative organizations and its potential influence is not to be ignored. At a meeting of the CNP on February 7, 1998, in Phoenix, James C. Dobson, head of Focus on the Family, threatened Republicans that he would pull out support of 2.1 million members because GOP leaders were betraying the millions of pro-family voters.

In 1992, George Bush lost to Bill Clinton and Clinton became the primary target for the conservative right wing of the Republican party. It took six years, but they finally got him on December 19, 1998.

The secretive Council for National Policy is just one of 200 important stories censored by the establishment media as featured in "20 Years of Censored News." This book, a labor of love about my 20 years as director of Project Censored, is a report card on the performance of America's news media. Unfortunately, the media did not pass. And that's why so few people realize that Hillary Clinton's charges about a right-wing conspiracy were accurate.
