About the Author
I live in Lancashire with my wife, Alison,who is a full time foster carer, and three house rabbits, Dusty, Smudge and Brandy. I currently manage a day service for people with profound and multiple disabilities.
Two years ago I had 'Tasting the Wind' reviewed in its unfinished form by 'Golgonooza.' The professional reviewer praised the descriptive passages and characterisation. One of my readers said that he found parts of the book 'gripping' but laughed out loud at others. Another reader got so engrossed that she missed her bus, and another spent an entire weekend reading it and texting to ask if anything was going to happen to her favourite character. Because of the subject matter 'Tasting the Wind' has been compared to 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.' The closest comparison that I am aware of is William Horwood's 'Skalligrigg.'
