In addition to writing and drawing BigglesA" stories, Francis Bergese started reviving the Buck DannyA" comics in the late 1970s, after original illustrator Victor Hubinon died. Jean Charlier, who co-created the original series, was impressed by cover illustrations Bergese had done for an aviation magazine and asked him to take over the drawing of the series. Scriptwriter Charlier died in 1989 and, from then on, Bergese wrote the Buck DannyA" scripts and created the drawings as well. These stories are published by Cinebook.
