Betrayal continues to follow the lives and times of the four main characters from A Rose Can Bloom in Autumn. The history of the characters gives the reader more insight into the struggles that all four of them will endure as success and fame begin to take over their lives. Primarily set in the Highlands of Scotland, again the setting soon moves to Tuscany after a series of problems with alcohol, drugs and violence. This is a strong, passionate story which is heartbreaking and soul searching for all four women who at times are unable to handle modern day pressures. Characters from the past surface again bringing additional problems. Several new equally strong personalities are introduced with many twists and turns as this story unfolds.

About the Author:

Barbara has recently relocated to North Yorkshire to be amongst the wonderful countryside where on her long walks she contemplates her new chapters, and stories for following work. Never one to let time stand still, Barbara is always busy with new projects and now her future looks as though a visit to warmer climes in the Mediterranean is planned. She is currently working on her third novel, Denial, which follows on from Betrayal and A Rose Can Bloom in Autumn. Her passion for writing began at a young age whilst at school and it is now that her dreams are coming true with the success of her first novel; her work has attracted a great deal of interest with commissions from abroad.
