Review:
"'Tension, intrigue and elemental forces... a powerful combination that makes an absorbing narrative.' Jane Sewell"
About the Author:
Maggie Makepeace started her career as a zoologist interested in animal behaviour. Through a brief spell in the 70s as a television presenter for Yorkshire TV and London Weekend she developed this interest turning to the psychology of human behaviour, specifically communication - or the lack of it - and the way that some people attempt to control the lives of others. In the 80s she returned to the west country and started to write in earnest. Her first novel was published by Random House when she was fifty, followed by three others. Watershed her fifth novel is inspired by the view of the Somerset Levels from her house, and the influence and beauty of water on the landscape.
