For anyone buying this book, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE CORRECT VERSION!! The one with the blue cover is the OLD version. You should look for the one with the rusty red cover, and with three authors cited on the front cover (Roy and Lesley Adkins and Victoria Leitch). Make sure any of your Amazon marketplace purchases are of this new edition, as the other one was published in 1981, and a lot has changed in archaeology since then! This new edition has been extensively revised by a team of experts, with much new material, and the illustrations are either new or have been redrawn and updated.
