This book provides an in-depth introduction to a complex philosophy, and explains how to work with colours, sound, visualization and other techniques to direct energy flows where they are needed. Over 250 colour photographs and clear text describe this ancient healing art. Open up to a new way of life by learning about chakras. Wherever dynamic energies meet in nature they form spinning circular patterns, or vortices. On a small scale this can be seen on the surface of streams and rivers, and on a large scale in the movements of cloud systems. Within our own bodies there are similar vortices of dynamic energies that the Vedic seers of ancient India named "Chakras" or wheels. These chakras are formed where two or more channels of subtle energy meet in the body. This book is an in-depth introduction to a complex philosophy, and explains how to work with colours, meditation, yoga positions and creative visualization to direct your energy flows where they are needed. Learning to tune your chakras is an important part of understanding the complex set of energy interactions that make up the human mind, body and spirit
