'Mologan the Boggart and the Green Lobster' is a humorous novel for children of all ages....7 to 70+. Set on the Scottish Isle of Shuma, the story was inspired by a series of strange incidents which happened one summer when I was on holiday on a simalarly remote island. Everything which could go wrong did go wrong. Machinery broke down, car tyres went flat overnight, green slime appeared in the drinking water and there were strange bumps and rustlings in the night. Lots of things went missing, many of them appearing again in a different place some time later. It was weird!
I supposed that someone or something must be responsible for all this mischief......and then I understood. It was a Boggart! There was a Boggart on the island! That explained it all.
After hibernating all winter in damp, hidden underground caves Boggarts spend the summer creeping about at night and carrying out their traditional profession of 'Bogling', which is Boggart-speak for making mischief, foraging for food and spiriting away dicarded items. This is the story of what happened when a Boggart encountered three human children and how their lives were changed by being involved in a strange and scary adventure.
There is glossary to help you understand the Boggart-speak and line illustrations throughout.
Hope you enjoy it. Mazda Munn
