Following his years at Hurstpierpoint he continued his career with 10 years as Assistant Secretary of the Headmasters Conference. It is in this latter role that he formed strong views of the independent education sector. Views which are forcefully expressed in this book. With recent proposals to change the subject base of secondary education together with the A level fiasco of last summer and the growth in litigation towards schools and education authorities, are we really providing a good standard of education for the generations of the 21st Century?
