Synopsis

The utility model comprising of flat bed solar collector with micro-channel fins. The collector consists of glazing, riser pipes and header pipes painted with black color so that more heat can be absorbed. Below the riser pipes there is aluminium sheet was being placed to ensure proper radiation can be concentrated on the fins. Below the aluminium sheet there is an insulation of glasswool so that less heat loss is there. Five different mass flow rates were considered with an interval of 15 minutes for each reading. Ten set of readings were noted down, five sets were without fabrication of micro-channels on fins and other five sets having fabrication of microchannels on fins. The thermal efficiencies of the ten sets were compared just to see the enhancement of thermal efficiency and effectiveness.
