Throughout his life, C. C. Greer wrote poems about the world he lived in with a quiet passion born of pragmatic observation. Although he considered himself an ordinary working man, he parlayed good common sense and hard work to become a successful entrepreneur and businessman. He never gained poetic fame, but if the definition of a poet is a person who writes poetry, then C. C. was a poet. When he died in 1997, he left behind a poetic legacy, that until now, few people have read. “Water Bucket,” is an edited collection of his poems, letters, and musings, and is dedicated to his memory, and to unsung poets everywhere.
