Eric Flint is the co-author of three New York Times best sellers in his Ring of Fire alternate history series. His first novel for Baen, Mother of Demons, was picked by Science Fiction Chronicle as a best novel of the year. His 1632, which launched the Ring of Fire series, won widespread critical praise, as from Publishers Weekly, which called him an SF author of particular note, one who can entertain and edify in equal, and major, measure. A longtime labor union activist with a Masters Degree in history, he currently resides in northwest Indiana with his wife Lucille. Dr. Charles E. Gannon is a Distinguished Professor of English (St. Bonaventure University) and was a Fulbright Senior Specialist in American Literature & Culture from 2004-2009. Dr. Gannon's series include hard-sf interstellar epics (the Fire With Fire series), urban fantasy (the forthcoming Taints), and he also collaborates in several others, including two New York Times Best Selling series: the Starfire military sf series (e.g. "Extremis") and Eric Flint's Ring of Fire series (e.g. "1635: The Papal Stakes"). He has also had many novellas published or forthcoming in various anthologies (Ring of Fire/1632, War World, Man-Kzin Wars, David Weber's Honorverse, etc.) and in Analog SF Magazine.
