“This look at the future―the potential for human progress―based on a massive collection of data and a rigorous projections model produces instructive scenarios of both likely and ideal trends in population, education finance, and education outcomes, including attainment and gender equity. This study can serve as a valuable guide for planning and policymaking in order to enhance the benefits and avoid pitfalls of anticipated trends. The study makes a strong case that investment in education today will return positive economic and social benefits tomorrow.”
