Synopsis

This book is the only comprehensive treatise on the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) system. Part 3, completely rewritten, includes a chapter on FAST (Faceted Application of Subject Terminology), which is an LCSH-based controlled vocabulary for electronic resources.
