Anyone who has looked at a building or a staircase or a shelf and wondered "How did they do that?" should find the answer here. The volume discloses Kieran Timberlake's design strategies - such as framing, joining, hinging, scaling and lining - and illustrates them with photographs and detailed working drawings from 29 built projects ranging from houses to schools.
