Synopsis
Living faith begins, progresses, matures, and ends in Jesus. We are instructed to “fix our eyes on Jesus,” to “look away from all distractions” and have “eyes for no one but Jesus,” because He is the author and perfecter of true faith. In Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus… the author illustrates principles he has learned since that fateful time when he first understood the need to keep his eyes fixed on Jesus. Learning to focus on the source of our faith, we can move forward in life, overcoming any and all obstacles, to reach that final goal set before us.
Jesus Christ was in the beginning with the Father and will be there in the end when all things are subjected to Him. He alone declares the end from the beginning. No one and no thing is hidden from Him but all things are “open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.” He alone knows where we have been, where we are, and where we are going. About the Author
Ricky Thomas Gordon has served as a teacher and missionary with his wife, Sarah, and their 11 children in Japan for almost 30 years. He has taught English and Speech at universities and junior colleges in Shizuoka prefecture for twenty-nine years. In 1988 Ricky and Sarah founded Living Way Church in Shizuoka city and continue to serve as the pastors of this growing international congregation. They work together both in the church and with Loving Decisions, a ministry dedicated to helping women and children in crisis. In addition to their own children they have frequently provided foster care for six to eight infants and toddlers at a time in their home. He has traveled and ministered extensively in India, Indonesia, and other parts of Asia.
