"An awesome graduation gift for any recent grad out there...a refreshingly honest, hilarious and heartfelt guidebook for anyone in that confusing, awkward post-grad stage of life. The book is a perfect blend of wit and wisdom. I loved Burnett's humorous advice on dating and marriage and found myself taking mental-notes on subjects like career risk-taking and personal finance." "Priscilla Chan - Class of 2013 - Stanford University" You might have thought you left behind the world of high anxiety testing the moment you donned your commencement robe and cap, and accepted your diploma on a stage far, far away. Ahhh...the naivete of youth. But as you will walk deeper into the adult world, you will realize that it will be life's questions that will truly kick you in the arse (and life's retake policy won't be nearly as generous as your teacher's once was). Using stories from history, psychology, economics, literature, and a lifetime of answering incorrectly, Eric Burnett throws out the key questions all graduates must face, while giving them the ammunition they'll need to choose wisely. Along the way, he might leave you second-guessing a few of the choices you've already made, while spurring you to ponder what questions didn't make the cut."

Eric Burnett has been a classroom educator for over two decades, teaching everything from 3rd Grade to 12th grade, American Literature to Game Theory, Economics to Journalism, Psychology to The History of War. Over the past ten years, he's settled into the high school humanities world where he frequently frustrates his students by testing their ability to recognize verbal irony delivered by a fast-talking mumbler, while hopefully imparting some knowledge and skills along the way. He currently teaches overseas at an expatriate school, where his exposure to a range of cultures and perspectives has provided him an opportunity quite rare for American educators. He has authored children's books and the 2013 textbook "Our World's Story: The Tales, Traditions, and Turning Points of World History and the Regional Challenges of Today."
