It includes, besides separately published books and pamphlets, papers in the proceedings of societies or periodicals, magazine articles, important references in books dealing principally with other subjects, etc....Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900's and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
