1855. The text is comprised of three essays by Reverend Powell, Fellow of the Royal Society and the Savilian Professor of Geometry at Oxford University. The First Essay consists mainly of an amplification of a few paragraphs in my paper on Necessary and Contingent Truth. The Second Essay was called forth by a perusal of the two able and interesting works on the question of the Plurality of Worlds. Finally, the Third Essay discusses the Vestiges of the Natural History of Creation.
