Freke and Gandy's Gospel of the Second Coming belongs to exactly the same species as the Gnostic Gospels of Nag Hammadi. Like them, it is a fictive dialogue presenting its authors' best insights as if Jesus had said them. Okay, it's a lot funnier than the Nag Hammadi books, but I've always thought satire is the true prophecy anyway. Read it if you dare! (Robert M. About the Author:

Tim Freke has an honours degree in philosophy and is an internationally respected authority on world mysticism. His previous books include The Jesus Mysteries and Jesus and the Goddess, which inspired Dan Brown. He has been featured in numerous TV and radio documentaries. He lectures and leads seminars in the US and UK. Peter Gandy has an MA in classical civilization and is an international authority on the ancient pagan mysteries and early Christianity.
