We have already informed our subscribers that the number of Parts to complete the Museum was fixed at 168, forming x4 Volumes. The bis or double Parts, to the will contain 36 Portraits of the first artists with Historical and Critical Notices of the Lives and Works of each. A short Biographical N o tice only of the all other Masters whose works have been engraved in our Collection, will be given. These Notices requiring a few supplementary Parts, we have sought to lessen the number as' much as possible, and it is to accomplish this aim, that we have determined to suppress the Alphabetical Tables in the last Volumes, for the purpose of inserting No tices in their stead.
