And what she gives, gives with such supple confusions That the giving famishes the craving. Gives too late What's not believed in, or if still believed.

About the Author

Arguably the greatest English-language playwright, William Shakespeare was a seventeenth-century writer and dramatist, and is known as the Bard of Avon. Under the patronage of Queen Elizabeth I, he penned more than 30 plays, 154 sonnets, and numerous narrative poems and short verses. Equally accomplished in histories, tragedies, comedy, and romance, Shakespeare s most famous works include Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, and As You Like It.

Like many of his contemporaries, including Christopher Marlowe, Shakespeare began his career on the stage, eventually rising to become part-owner of Lord Chamberlain s Men, a popular dramatic company of his day, and of the storied Globe Theatre in London.

Extremely popular in his lifetime, Shakespeare s works continue to resonate more than three hundred years after his death. His plays are performed more often than any other playwright s, have been translated into every major language in the world, and are studied widely by scholars and students.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a series of poems that explore themes of alienation, disillusionment, and the search for meaning in a rapidly changing world. The author uses vivid imagery and a fragmented style to capture the anxieties and uncertainties of modern life, particularly within the intellectual and artistic circles of early 20th century Europe. The poems often feature characters who grapple with the complexities of love, faith, and the pursuit of personal fulfillment. The author masterfully blends elements of realism and symbolism, creating a world where the mundane and the spiritual intertwine. The poems are filled with references to art, literature, and philosophy, reflecting the author's engagement with the intellectual currents of their time. The reader is invited to contemplate the nature of identity, the fragility of human relationships, and the elusiveness of true connection in a world of shifting values. Through its evocative language and haunting imagery, this book offers a poignant reflection on the human condition and its enduring struggles.
