I think the writer - whom I would be glad to know, to thank him for the unexpected pleasure which he has thus imparted - has succeeded wonderfully in reproducing the social habits and mental traits of one whom he knew long ago as his father's friend.
The son of that friend from across the Atlantic would tender to him heart-felt thanks for the truthful and inter esting way in which he has delineated their characters and perpetuated their memories in his brief sketch.
