About the Author
Hey there dreamers and world changers,
I'm Kayon, a mother to an adventurous toddler Dylan DePina, a creator of learning spaces, and an educator in Baltimore, MD. I was encouraged to write this book as a gift for his second birthday due to all that has been transpiring around the world in an attempt to drown out the negative voices that may try to take precedence in his life.
It is also my hope that you enjoyed reading The Metaphorical Moon and are inspired to challenge the voices that try to tell you no or birth doubt in you. To my scholars and the brilliant minds who read this book, I want you to know that you were designed with a purpose. Even if your dream seems out of reach now, it is alone a matter of time for you to achieve it. Make a plan, test it out, ask for help if you need to, and accomplish your goals.
