The author has experienced difficult challenges, but also fantastic blessings. She began writing these devotionals during days of a confining illness. She began a prayer practice lying prostrate on the floor with the Bible at her side and a notebook within reach. These devotionals are a result.
Dr. Judith Rolfs also studied prayer extensively when her oldest son had advanced cancer and then was hit by a drunk driver while jogging, three months into his treatment. She pored over the Gospels to see the methods Jesus used in healing and prayed to draw closer to Him.
Throughout the next year, she saw Jesus work mini and major miracles as He graciously healed her son. The author says, "I know Jesus' presence and power are real. Trusting Him with all the whatevers of life ever since has brought me the deepest joy I’ve ever known."

About the Author
Dr. Judith Rolfs has B.A., Master’s and Ph.D degrees in psychology and family counseling. She says, "I’ve had enough schooling to know education doesn’t make a person smart. Reading Scripture taught me more about living well & creating healthy family relationships than all my years of psychology and counseling theories." Author's Personal History: I met the love of my life at age sixteen and married him after a five-year off and on courtship due to schooling, army and long distance separations. We both became on-fire Christians as adults after our fourth child was born and we’ve lived a highly unconventional life in service to Jesus doing whatever He placed in our path. I’ve worked in private and clinical counseling settings, co-directed and counseled at camps, and enjoyed international mission trips. Currently I speak at women's events. You’ll note from the variety of genres I write in that I savor variety. I hate to be bored and never want to bore a reader. May I never be guilty. My writing is packed with what-if possibilities. I love starting with a blank page and seeing God make something of nothing just as He does with our lives. I strive for imaginative creations and depth of ideas. Jesus gave me a successful career as a counselor until calling me to full-time writing.
