Number symbolism is one of the most mysterious aspects of Judeo-Christian spirituality. For the writers of the Bible, number held a mystical property which added extra depth to the symbolism behind the words and metaphors of Scripture, and echoed unseen properties which exist on the spiritual plane. Modern scholarship has shown that the Hebrew rendering of the name Nero Caesar had the numerical equivalent of 666 - thus the original “Beast” of Revelation was none other than the Roman Emperor. The Hebrew number six was represented by the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet - the letter waw. This letter is transliterated into English as the letter w. Therefore the letters www have the Hebrew numerical equivalent of six-six-six. Is this a strange coincidence? Or is there something more sinister at work? What connects this prophecy to the warnings of various Catholic saints and visionairies, such as those of the Third Secret of Fatima and the Secrets of La Salette?
