Over five decades Ken Campbell drove his artistic juggernaught through the theatrical establishment. From his orginal grounding in the comedic there grew his Road Show, the Science Fiction Theatre of Liverpool, the best set of one-man shows ever seen on planet world and the reinvention of improvisional comedy; theatrical work that was astounding, amazing, astonishing and absolutely original. That s what this book is about it's a friends account of the five theatrical lives of Ken Campbell for all those fans and fellow seekers everywhere.

I think it's wonderful, and am already addicted to it - you're much more on Ken's wavelength than Michael Coveney, who clearly missed out on a lot (e.g. the 'amazing' James Clark). I love the personal anecdotes. The pictures and appendices alone make the book essential. Great work! Peter Chrisp --in an email to author
Still reading Jeff Merrifield's book - it's discursive and honest and rivetting! Thanks for putting in the time Jeff. Ken needed others to support his dreams and schemes, you are a Boswell to his Johnson (sounds a bit rude!) Dare to dream and sceme and SEEK indeed. Claudia Boulton --Facebook posting
An arts adminitrator for over 43 years, Jeff Merrifield was also a life-long friend of Ken Campbell and shared in many of his hair-raising theatrical escapades. He continues to utilise the Seeker mentality in his own current artistic endeavours.
