ABOUT THIS BOOK
We have lost the old ways of Epsom Salts and bread poultices at a time when the National Health Service is floundering, superbugs abound and we are becoming an increasingly unhealthy nation. We are all being bullied. School ground bullying has taken on a new, more sinister, mantle. Our politicians are deaf to the wishes of the voters and Europe has nothing less than federal intentions. We don't heal well, we are not being heard and are about to be taken over. We think we are impotent to the changes being imposed on us. We are not. We are far more powerful than we realise. Reclaiming our internal power base starts with each and every one of us paying attention to every small detail in our lives [hence the ant on the front cover], learning from our observations and then thinking differently.
This is a serious book written humorously. Throughout the contents, from defence of the realm, health, jewellery and intimate personal relationships, I have interwoven and interlinked the chakras so if you don't know anything about them you may need to read the 'C' section first. Alternatively, you can start on the first page and keep going. From the Author:
This is a humorous book with a serious message. As a hospital nurse I did not understand why some people healed and others did not. It sent me on a journey of exploration which was vastly accelerated by my own illness. I studied physical, emotional and spiritual health and by paying attention to the world around me I came to understand we continually send out a multitude of messages from our body language, our clothing and its colour, our jewellery and what we say or talk about. A red or green t-shirt has far more significance than we realise, a simple touching movement or scratching a specific point on the body has a deeper significance. All this information was, I discovered, linked to the chakras [the seven emotional centres of the body] and I was fascinated and humbled to find that we are all walking around showing the state of our innermost being for all to see, but for few to notice. I have linked politics to the chakras and had a very unspiritual swipe at politicians at the same time. I am hoping to enlighten you, not necessarily in some spiritual way, but merely to get you to look at life from a different angle. There are chickens, dogs, cats and horses in the book, plus a bit of booze and some downright silliness, which has thoroughly entertained me and I passionately hope it entertains you too because laughter is a healer. We think healing is linked only to health. It isn't. Healing means taking our power back.
