Scattered Seeds is a unique celebration of the experiences of three generations of Anglo-Indians, highlighting their personal sense of identity in a world where issues about race and culture are constantly changing.
The symbolic front cover encapsulates the British and Indian flags, a poignant representation for Anglo-Indians whose personal journeys reflect lifestyles layered with aspects of class, religion, power and freedom.
The book is divided into three main parts, a history of the Anglo-Indian, personal expressions of identity from Anglo-Indians from the UK, India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA, and a conclusion about how this race of people contribute in today's society.
Full page colour portraits illustrate anecdotal life experiences, often with a surprising twist - a demonstration of the power of photography and the subtlety of the written word. Combined, the two genres produce a thought provoking insight into a community that has so often been misrepresented. Each individual has been given an opportunity to express in their own words the essence of being Anglo-Indian, an undertaking met with passion and integrity.
