Created in part with funding from the arts council during the Year of The Artist scheme in 1999, during the lead up to the Millennium festivities, Harrow council, who also contributed some funding, banned it controversially from their own libraries, not liking what the author found on their streets. From the Author:
I have two hundred copies left of the original print run of 2000. Each one has a piece of genuine 'found' text picked up from the street and glued into the book by a Harrow resident during extensive workshops in the borough during 1999.
