"Possibly the best Sqdn history that your editor has seen"

The above is a quote from Oliver Clutton-Brock's review of this book when he was the editor of the Bomber Command Association Newsletter. See Issue No.35 April 1998 for full review.

This book is self published by the Author, John Ward and myself, who put it together and arranged the printing.

It has 558 10"x5" pages and contains some 200 photographs and illustrations together with an index to all known personnel in the photographs.

The main content is in monthly diary form and covers all operations, lists casualties, awards & decorations and other relevant information during World War II.

Throughout the book are personal anecdotes and stories from the survivors of the period as well as reports that were made at the time and have been researched from various archives and sources. It also contains a very brief summary of pre-war activities and a not so brief summary covering the 20 years post war up to disbandment in 1965.

It will appeal to anyone remotely connected to the Squadron as well as all aviation enthusiats and researchers.

It is also now available on CD Rom with the addition of the complete Roll Of Honour with all known information of the 907 personnel who "Failed to return" or died of the injuries received in their course of duty.
