About the Author

William K. Chapman, a biology teacher and member of the adjunct faculty at Utica College of Syracuse University, is the author of Plants and Flowers: An Archival Sourcebook, Pheasants under Glass, and Orchids of the Northeast: A Field Guide. Alan E. Bessette, professional mycologist and emeritus professor of biology at Utica College of Syracuse University, has published numerous papers and more than twenty books. His books include Mushrooms of North America in Color: A Field Guide Companion to Seldom Illustrated Fungi and Mushrooms of Northeastern North America.
