I wrote the book I wanted to read.
I interviewed 25 well-known women writers and visual artists, including Dorothy Allison, Ursula K. Le Guin, Mary Gordon and Alison Saar, to find out how they have organized their lives to nurture both their children and their art, often while working at another job as well. Helpful strategies and inspiration for anyone who seeks more time to pursue personal interests in a life filled with personal and professional commitments.
