Synopsis
This work argues that the British, French and Native Americans living at Michilimackinac and in the western Great Lakes region worked together to keep the fur trade functioning during the American Revolution. This alliance enabled Britain to control the Upper Great Lakes throughout the war.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Revised Printing. Well-researched and carefully presented account of this region in norther Michigan during the Revolutionary War. This is the revised edition which was issued in1986--and presumably best edition (the first edition was issued in 1978). The covers are the orignal publisher's black pictorial covers, and it was not issued with a dust jacket. Contains an chapter notes, and an index in the rear as well as Interesting illustrations and maps. There are a couple of small rubbed spots at spine gutter, a little age spotting to the top edge (not to contents), and the smallest bit of wear to the corner tips. ; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 279 pages.
