About the Author:
ZAKARIA BASHIER (b.1940) obtained his BA and M.Litt. in Philosophy from the Universities of Khartoum, Sudan and Durham, UK respectively, and his PhD on Islamic Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. Apart from holding faculty positions at Universities of Sudan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, he had also been the Vice Chancellor of the University Off Juba, Sudan. He has to his credit 14 books in Arabic and 8 in English, besides scores of articles in Journals on a wide range of topics related to Islamic Studies. Other books in the series Life of the Prophet Muhammad all published by the Islamic Foundation, Leicester, UK.
