About the Author:

Louisa Leaman is an experienced behaviour support teacher, having taught across the age range in a variety of special and mainstream schools. She now works as an educational writer, consultant, trainer, and children's author, combining these roles with a part-time teaching post.

Review:

'Courageous and unusual... will not turn anyone overnight into that confident, "OK kids, maths books out, let's rock!" teacher you all long to be. But it does contain excellent advice, and some clear insights into why some children are like they are, which is, if not half the battle, at least good for a few forward steps.' (Times Educational Supplement)

Article written by Louisa Leaman in Education and Health Vol.23 No.4 2005, mentions the book.

'A worthwhile, helpful book with accessible text and a strong emphasis on turning negative situations into positive ones for all concerned in the educational arena.' The Teacher, Len Parkyn 1 March 2006 (Defrazzled Techniques Teacher Magazine)

Reference & Research Book News, August 2006 (mention)
