About the Author

BRIAN OVERLAND was one of Microsoft's top technical writers for ten years, where he also contributed sample code and tested software. He was one of the project leads of the original Visual Basic as well as being involved with Visual C++ 1.0 and many other languages. He won a series of awards for writing and is also the author of the successful C in Plain English (MIS:Press, 1995) and C++ in Plain English (MIS:Press, 1996).
