Navagerus; it consists of 3 parts, one of which was printed in 1515, containing the Amatory Poems, &c. and the two others in 1516; the first of which comprises some Annotations on the whole Works of Ovid, an Alphabetical Index to this volume, and the Metamorphoses; the.2nd contains ' A. Ptolemwi inerrantium Stellarum stgni-ficationes per Nicolaum Leonicum è graeco translate, xii. Romanorum menses in ueteribus monimentis lionise. Sex priorum mensium digestio ex sex Ouidij Fastorum libris ex-cerpta,' Fasti, Tristia, de Ponto, In Ibin, & Consolatio ad Liviam. Complete copies of this edition are equally difficult to be procured with the preceding; the text has been carefully revised and corrected by Navagerus, who has substituted some annotations which are prefixed to the Metamorphoses, in lieu of the Index Graeco-Latinus; he received considerable assistance, as he says, from some MSS.--Prefixed to the volume containing the Libri Amatorii is a long prefatory Epistle addressed by Asola to Cardinal Bernardus Divitius, in which he expresses the most lively regret for the loss of Aldus (who died in 1515) and declares his intention of using his endeavours to continue publishing good editions of Greek and Latin Authors.
