Ruth Sanderson brings to this familiar story her experience as the illustrator of over sixty books for children, including Saints: Lives and Illuminations (Eerdmans), Cinderella, The Twelve Dancing Princesses, and Tapestries: Stories of Women in the Bible (all Little, Brown and Company). A graduate of the Paier College of Art in New Haven, Connecticut, Ruth finds inspiration for her art in icons, Renaissance paintings, illuminated manuscripts, old engravings, and woodcuts.
