Hi All - I had a great time doing the research for With or Without You which involved a three-week trek in Nepal in the foothills of the Himalayas. It started out as a holiday booking, but none of my friends believed that I could manage without my hairdryer from more than a day. They were equally dumbfounded when I started training for the trek by running on my treadmill in the garage with a backpack filled with tins of Heinz soup (assorted varieties but not all 57). The more they teased me, the more I realised it would be a great basis for a novel. What I discovered is that Nepal is an absolutely wonderful country - the people are so humble and charming. I had a fantastic time - the adventure of a lifetime. And then when I came home the book just wrote itself - that doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's a joy! Hope you enjoy reading it.
