Witts End Primary School certainly lives up to its name when it calls on Miss Pandemonium to bring the unruly Class 5 pupils into line. But Miss Pandemonium very quickly realises that her real battle is not with the children but with the deputy head, Miss Earwigger, who will stop at nothing to win the battle to make all the children dress up as Flower Fairies to celebrate Book Week.
