Caroline Holmes is a garden historian and worldwide consultant, designer, lecturer and broadcaster. She designed the first six in the chronology of gardens at Yalding Organic Gardens in Kent and has undertaken a number of other design commissions, including theming the plants in the Poisons Garden at Alnwick Garden, Northumberland. Her books include The Not so Little Book of Dung (Sutton, 2006) and she lives in Suffolk.
