Synopsis
Captain Kirk ventures into the depths of a remote jungle planet to save hostages held by the Klingon Empire. But the Klingons are determined not to give up the prisoners, even if it means obliterating every las one - and anyone who attempts to save them! The crew of the U.S.S Enterprise arrive on a Klingon planet and soon discover that crew of the U.S.S Gagarin, which was viciously attacked by Klingons ten years ago, have been held prisoner there ever since. With the assistance of the brave and honourable Koloth - the Klingon captain from the viewer-favourite episode, 'The Trouble with Tribbles' - Captain Kirk sets out on an heroic mission to rescue them. During his time on the planet he discovers the secrets behind many Klingon mysteries...mysteries that Star Trek fans have been waiting to find out...
About the Author
Dayton Ward has been a long time fan of Star Trek. His start in professional writing came as a result of placing stories in each of the first three Strange New Worlds anthologies. He served 11 years in the U.S. Marine corps and works as a software engineer. He is a Florida native and currently lives with his wife, Michi in Kansas City.
