THE YOWLERS have lurked quietly in the alleyways and shadows of Illmoor for centuries. But with a powerful new evil in hand, they threaten to rise once more. As they descend from their rooftop refuge, evil can be seen by moonlight . . . bringing a darkness that promises destruction to all.
The second adventure in the Illmoor Chronicles trilogy finds Illmoor in peril once again . . . but this new menace is more deadly than the ravenous rat infestation of Dullitch, and even more diabolical than dark magic.
As fate would have it, a band of maniacal misfits is all that remains to defend the land–a cowardly duke, a half vampire with an attitude, and a third-rate thief with a silver-plated heart. In this wild adventure of evil versus almost good, the future of Illmoor hangs in the balance once again.

About the Author:

David Lee Stone, until recently an employee of Blockbuster Video, has been creating the world of Illmoor since he was ten years old. He works as a freelance writer for SFX magazine. He lives on the coast in Kent and has a baby German shepherd named Cher.

From AudioFile:

Author Stone has said that hes been creating the Illmoor Chronicles since he was 10 years old. Listeners can hear his youthful creativity brought to life in this follow-up to THE RATASTROPHE CATASTROPHE. Narrator Simon Vance perfectly gets into the spirit, describing the crazy action, delivering goofy asides and silly wordplay, and uttering mild oaths. The residents of Dullitch must battle the Yowlers of Legrash in order to defend their territory. Characters with names such as Curfew, Sorrow, Plunge, and Grab are expertly portrayed. They even remain entirely believable while speaking rapidly in succession. Listeners will find this truly fun entertainment.
