Synopsis
This is the new 'E.J Pugh' mystery. Romantic novelist E. J. Pugh is back and in rare form! She has been nominated for a Lady, a coveted award from the American Romance Writers' Association. The convention is to be held in nearby Austin, Texas so E.J. is going and will be sharing a room with bestselling author Maybella LaRue, aka Jane Dawson. Through Jane, E.J. meets a group of mostly well-known writers, all a lot of fun, and all united in their dislike of aspiring but unpublished Angela Barber, the drill sergeant who is in charge of the convention. It should have been a weekend-long party, fun and information. It should never have resulted in the dead body of one of the participants, found at the bottom of the stairs. About the Author
Susan Rogers Cooper is half-Texan, half-Yankee, and now lives with her family in a small town in central Texas. She is the author of seventeen mystery novels in three different series, the 'Milt Kovak' series, the 'Kimmey Kruse' series and the 'E.J.Pugh' series. She was nominated for an Edgar for best paperback mystery of 1998 for her E.J. Pugh novel Home Again, Home Again.
