In "The Abolition of Man, " C.S. Lewis, the beloved educator and author, reflects on education, society, and nature. Dividing his book into three essays, "Men Without Chests, " "The Way, " and "The Abolition of Man, " Lewis uses his graceful prose, delightful humor, and keen understanding of the human mind to challenge our notions about how to best teach our children - and ourselves - not merely reading and writing, but also a sense of morality.

About the Author:

Clive Staples Lewis (1898-1963) was one of the intellectual giants of the twentieth century and arguably one of the most influential writers of his day. From the Back Cover:

In The Abolition of Man, C. S. Lewis sets out to persuade his audience of the importance and relevance of universal values such as courage and honor in contemporary society. Both astonishing and prophetic, this book is one of the most debated of Lewis's extraordinary works. National Review chose it as number seven on their "100 Best Nonfiction Books of the Twentieth Century."
