Synopsis
One of the earliest guides for couples, 'The Swinger's Handbook', is an insiders' account by the pseudonymous "Carol" and "Tim." They both came from the "communications field in very straight institutions", were a couple who were married (but not to each other) who enjoyed group-sex and decided to write a handbook to guide other couples (and singles) after realizing that for anybody interested in their weekend groupsex hobby there was nothing to draw upon from the mainstream books market. It quickly became a best seller and spurned others on to write similar guides.
